Thoma Foundation Announces Research Fellow in Twentieth-Century Abstract Painting

The Foundation announces that Jennifer Cohen has been named our first Research Fellow in Twentieth-Century Abstract Painting. Jennifer is a Ph.D. Candidate in Art History at the University of Chicago where she is finishing a dissertation titled “Surrealism and the Art of Consumption,” which has been supported by fellowships from the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Mellon Foundation-Council for European Studies. She has previously held research positions at the Art Institute of Chicago Departments of Photography, and Modern European Painting and Sculpture, and holds a B.A. and M.A. from Cornell University. Jennifer will begin her fellowship at the Foundation’s Chicago office in September.
