In Real Life at the Museum of Contemporary Photography (MoCP), Columbia College Chicago seeks to examine the real-world impact of computer vision. On loan from the Thoma Foundation is Trevor Paglen’s video artwork Behold these Glorious Times!, an amalgam of user-uploaded videos and images which the artist has crafted into a haunting commentary on our willingness to surrender information to artificially intelligent programs.
In Real Life is organized by MoCP executive director Natasha Egan. Artists include Stephanie Dinkins, Trevor Paglen, Leo Selvaggio, Maija Tammi, José Orlando Villatoro, Xu Bing, and Liam Young.
