What did you like most about your hometown?
The tight-knit community and sense of home is what I liked most about my hometown.
Why did you choose Texas Tech?
I chose Texas Tech because of the scholarship opportunity provided by the Thoma Foundation. I was also drawn to Texas Tech’s good reputation for research experience.
Major and/or Career Goals
I am an English major who hopes to attend law school. My options are open, but I plan to work in family law, helping kids in the foster care system.
What types of reading do you enjoy?
I am an avid reader. I enjoy mainly fiction, with a special love for classics and science fiction. I also enjoy nonfiction books, including memoirs and political commentary.
What hobbies or interests do you enjoy?
My main hobby is reading, but I also love to cook and play sports. My favorite sports to play are volleyball and golf.
What things are you good at that nobody knows about?
I would like to think that I am good at helping my friends review and annotate their papers. I am good at molding the written word.
